Telemetry Station Network

In 2006, with the help of grant funding from the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the Bureau of Reclamation, the Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District installed 16 stream gages and 9 reservoir gages in the Upper Arkansas River Basin. These automated telemetry stations provide real time hydrologic and weather data. The information includes stream discharge, reservoir contents, water temperature, and weather conditions. These telemetry stations allow the UAWCD to accurately manage water storage, releases, and exchanges which play a significant role in the administration of our water resources in the Upper Basin.   ​
