Richard Hilderbrand
Director
Mr. Hilderbrand is a graduate of Salida High School. He worked as a U.S. Forest Service Smokejumper and then went on to receive a doctorate in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois School of Medicine, Chicago. Mr. Hilderbrand is a retired Navy Captain with a last assignment at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, The Pentagon. After retirement he was appointed as the Science Director for the US Anti-doping Agency. He is currently retired and works part time as a consultant on drug abuse reduction and is a board member for the Penrose Water District. Mr. Hilderbrand has served on the UAWCD Board of Directors since 2017.
