Kristie Nackord

As a senior conservation strategist, Ms. Nackord focuses on advancing farmland and water conservation initiatives. She currently serves as a consultant with the Lower Arkansas Valley Water Conservancy District and has built her career at the intersection of complex water and land use challenges throughout the West. Ms. Nackord has worked across a range of industries—including water, engineering, wine, agriculture, luxury brands, and nonprofits—as a consultant, staff member, and board member. Originally from Sonoma County, California, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Sonoma State University.
She lived for several years in Custer County, currently resides on her horse ranch in western Fremont County, and her daughter attends school in Chaffee County. Ms. Nackord brings a deep, long-standing connection, care, and commitment to the people and places served by the Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District.
