Born and raised in New Mexico, Dwayne attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business and Economics. Dwayne moved to Fremont County in 1992 with his family to become a small business owner, before he went to work for Wal-Mart in 1994, working in supervisory positions for 23 years. He and his wife Kendra have a blended family of 5 children and 5 grandchildren. He is an avid outdoors sportsman and a lifetime member of the NRA and Amateur Trap Association. He is also a member of Ducks Unlimited, The Mule Deer Foundation and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
